ISO 27001 certification for information-security management.

Independent certification of the information-security management system and its controls — the baseline a bank asks for before the first integration conversation.

What was certified

TeamSec received ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for an information-security management system. The certification covers how information-security risk is identified, controlled, reviewed and improved, rather than any single technical control.

Why it matters here

A platform that will hold a bank's credit records, a borrower's transactional data and an investor's portfolio reporting is asked one question before any other: how do you manage that. ISO 27001 is the answer institutions recognise without having to take a supplier's word for it, and it is usually the first document requested in a procurement process.

It is deliberately listed here alongside the awards rather than above them. A certification is not a distinction — it is a floor, and the useful thing about it is that somebody outside the company checked.
